Our Instructors

Miss Misty

Owner, Artistic Director/Instructor /Choreographer

 

Misty began dancing at the age of two, and opened her own studio at the age of 16 . Since then she has owned and operated her own dance studio & taught for 33 years. Misty teaches all forms of dance, with tap, musical theatre, jazz and lyrical being her favorites.  Misty received training at Kent State University, Point Park College and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre programs.  Misty holds certificates to teach from Dance Masters of Ohio, Dance Masters of America, and Dance Educators of America.  Misty and her Mom have many past students who have won numerous dance titles, such as: Mr. Dance of Ohio 1997, Mr. and Miss Dance of Ohio 2002, Footloose International Title Winner 2003.  Several of their students have gone on to perform professionally with Disney World in the Kids of the Kingdom and the Lion King shows, Broadway in musicals such as A Chorus Line, The Producers, Follies on Broadway & the Rockette Christmas Spectacular, and Broadway touring productions of Cats and Footloose.  In Las Vegas in the Lion King Production  and on cruise ships both as dancers and featured aerialist for Royal Caribbean International, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Holland America Cruise Lines and performers for the USO Liberty Bell New York NY. In pageantry one of their students was crowned Miss West Virginia America 2010 and appeared live in the Miss America Pageant. Their students have also appeared in national TV commercials, the movie “Step Up” and most recently in the movie “Dough Boy”. After moving to the Florida area 16 years ago, Misty has taught at the Cypress Lake Center for the Performing Arts in Ft Myers, as well as local dance studios and high schools choreographing for dance teams and musicals. Misty has also coordinated area preschool dance programs at local day cares.Misty will continue to share not only her expertise in dance but her love of the arts with all her students.

Miss Krista

Modern, Jazz, & Contemporary Instructor

 

Krista has been dancing since the age of 3. She has been trained in many different styles and studied from numerous teachers. She loves to spread her knowledge, creativity and passion of dance through teaching and choreographing. Krista has continued her dance career into the professional world. She has danced for Universal Studios Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa, and has performed at many special events for big corporations such as The Miss Tampa Scholarship Pageant, The Storybook Ball presented by The Ronald McDonald House and The Wildlife Conservation Fund. She has also been featured as a dancer in commercials for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment and a featured actress in promotional videos for annual theme park special events.
Along side of dance, Krista is also currently working on receiving her Bachelors degree in Business Management through Hodges University.

 

Miss Marleigh

Marleigh has been dancing for 13 years. She has trained in all forms of dance.  She is a student at Ida Baker and is taking all AP classes and has plans to be a pediatrician. Marleigh volunteers with several different organizations including the local hospital and animal shelters.  Marleigh taught our summer camps and will be hosting Birthday Parties and special events this fall for the kids 

Mr. James

Acro Instructor

James is a singer, dancer, and actor. He has been involved with the performing arts for over20 years! He has been teaching children theatrical arts for 15 years. He teaches all levels of tumbling as well as choreography. Mr. James has three sons who also have a love of performing and dancing.

Elliott (Midnight)

Elliott is also known as b-boy Midnight. He is a professional b-boy and has been breaking for 17 years. He recently moved from Queens, New York to Florida.  In the breaking community their motto is “each one, teach one”, meaning spreading love of the dance to everyone. 

Miss Jennifer

Musical Theatre Instructor

Jennifer began dancing and acting at the age of 9 in Fort Myers, Fl. She has extensive training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, Irish, ballroom, and musical theatre. She performs regularly and choreographs at Cultural Park Theatre right here in Cape Coral. Originally from Indiana, Jennifer has been in Southwest Florida performing and creating arts in our community for over 25 years.

Miss Chris

Chris has been dancing since 1994 at Pine Island dance. She graduated from North Fort Myers High School and graduated the year it was turned into an official art school. Miss Chris has studied all forms of dance including musical theater & acrobatics. She is certified up to 4 grades in the Checchetti method of ballet. Chris loves working with kids and learning new tricks. 

Miss Brittany

Brittany Carroll was born and raised in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.  She graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Psychology and Education.  Brittany has been part of the dance world for a number of years and has accomplished many things as a dancer and a choreographer.  Brittany started dancing at 3 years old at Dancers In Motion and started competing at the age of 9.  She competed at competitions around the New Jersey and New York area, winning titles and special awards.  In High School she was on her dance team, where she was captain as well as choreographing their routines.  While at Rutgers she was part of the Rutgers Performing Dance Company and took part in classes through the Mason Gross program, where she showcased performances that she choreographed and took part in.   After graduating she started teaching at her childhood studio teaching tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and contemporary.  Brittany became the coach of her High School Dance Team, leading them to win the State Championship in New Jersey. She is now attending FGCU to obtain her B.A. in Communications.   Brittany is looking to bring her Jersey flair to Dance Dimensions and guide her students to a successful dance career full of fun and passion!

Miss Nanci

Nanci is a professional dancer, choreographer, performer and instructor. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience in a variety of dances including ballet, pointe, jazz, and ballroom. She trained with the American Ballet Theater for 10 years and with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre for 5 years.
